  The Crucial Decision

Football has been known to bring together people of different tribes, makes and races, and countries. And is one of the world most common sports. This year Ghana is proud to be the host for the most popular football event on the continent, the African Cup of Nations tournament. For Ghana, this football celebration has been package as GHANA 2008. And as always will host the best of the best of the continents football teams while exhibiting that unique playing skills of the African.

Taking into account the football loving sprit of the Ghanaian, Nutshell Care Foundations took the opportunity of the excitement generated from the nation hosting the games to organize a football match for the children in the Teshie Nungua Dare- Salem community at the park popularly known as the “Jaah Park”.

The game which saw four teams drawn from the various segment of the community showcased real African football at its most innocent and natural roots. The players aged 5- 15 years thrilled the spectators to classic dribbling and goal shots.

Nutshell Care Foundation hosted and sponsored this game as its contribution to the crescendo that has been building around the Ghana 2008 tournament. And to offer for the little ones in the community a chance to experience in their own little way the excitement that comes with the hosting of such a prestigious tournament.

It is the hope of the organizers that through this their little contribution some of these young ones would eventually be inspired to develop their talents so as to play for the national team. And in one way or the other contribute their quota to national development.
.
At the end of the game the players were feted with refreshment to cool off their hard work and the winning team was given its cash prize.

Browse through the pictures and enjoy the game…. Thank you.
